FAIR PLAY RULE

The Battle is meant to be won by real breweries and home brewers with support from real craft-beer fans. Vote manipulation, automated or bot voting, fabricated accounts, purchasing votes, coordinated fraudulent voting, or any other attempt to artificially influence Battle results is prohibited.

Hoppy Trails LLC may investigate unusual or irregular activity and may remove affected votes, disqualify an entry, remove an entrant from the current Battlefield, revoke Battle prizes or recognition, and suspend or permanently exclude an offending participant from future Hoppy Trails LLC competitions and events.

OFFICIAL RULES AND ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility

Entry is open to authorized representatives of United States breweries and individual United States home brewers who are at least 21 years old. Each stout competes only in its declared division.

Entry information

Entrants provide identity, location, stout details, availability, permitted media, and required confirmations. One to four stout photos may be submitted.

Verification

Email verification is required. Customer ratings and participation are verified through the Battle platform. Only Brewery Division entrants provide private sales and allocation reports; Home Brewer Division entrants receive no sales score or penalty.

Tie handling

A tie is decided first by the higher customer-ratings score, then by participation. A remaining Brewery Division tie uses verified sales. Any tie still remaining receives a documented review by Hoppy Trails LLC using the published records.

Moderation

Entries, reviews, photographs, and reports may be checked for eligibility, accuracy, safety, rights, duplication, and compliance before or after publication.

Disqualification

False information, missing authority or permissions, manipulated activity, automated or purchased votes, infringement, unsafe content, or other rule violations may lead to removal of votes, entries, recognition, or prizes.
